    On Wednesday, February 10th, FCHS and the Class of 2016
    will be having a Rep Your College Choice Day.  
    Seniors that have decided where they will attend college 
    are encouraged to rep your school on this day!

Principal's Message

Dear Griffin Families,

With great joy I wish you a Happy New Year!  This has been a wonderful and exciting year at Fairfield Central High School.  Our students are working hard in their classes and enjoying the many activities we have had this year.  Our teachers are dedicated to their students and are taking on many new and exciting methods with which to engage and challenge them.  The support from our SIC, Community Partners, and our many dedicated parent volunteers has never been stronger.  And our staff members who have wholeheartedly dedicated themselves to supporting our mission of providing quality teaching and learning for every student every day are fabulous.  I feel privileged and honored to be able to work in this supportive and amazing community.  I am grateful for your help, trust, input and desire to make Fairfield Central the best environment for our Griffins.

I thank you for allowing us to be a part of your child's life.  I never take for granted the opportunity and responsibility to help them in their growth towards adulthood.  Yet, what warms my heart the most is when i see our students smiling, laughing, and clearly enjoying themselves in this safe and caring school community.  At this time of year with the holiday season upon us and we get that stressful feeling that there is too much to do with not enough time to do it, it may help to remind ourselves what famed mystery writer Donald E. Westlake once said, "As we struggle with shopping lists and invitations, compounded by December's bad weather, it is good to be reminded that there are people in our lives who are worth this aggravation, and people to whom we are worth the same."   Let's also be reminded to think of helping others as many are still rebuilding from the flooding we had this year.  

This is the time of year for rejoicing and for rededication.  I truly hope you will have the time to spend with those people in your life that mean the most to you and enrich your life.  Please give yourself the time to recharge your spirit, and rededicate yourself to the people and causes that mean the most to you.
