Principal's Message

 Mrs. Tracie Swilley, Principal

Dear Griffin Families,

I would like to welcome all of our new and returning students! I am looking forward to another productive and successful school year. As we continue to ensure that quality teaching and learning occur every day for every student and take Fairfield Central to new heights, our theme for the 2017-2018 school year will be: Level Up.  Fairfield Central High School is destined for amazing accomplishments and significant milestones this school year. The gifts and talents of our students, combined with the dedication and passion of our teachers, allow us to strive for excellence. Excellence is not the result of a good intention or clever slogan. It is not a value that is easily achieved. It comes from a strong desire to improve how we do things when we see something we can do better. We continue to work hard to ensure that Fairfield Central High School will be recognized as a school that prepares their students and teachers for success. As we strive for excellence, we will move from Good to GREAT.

Fairfield Central High School is a great place to be. I believe that strong school-community relationships are essential to high academic achievement of our students. We made great strides last year, and we have a lot to be proud of.  A few of our highlights include increased SAT and ACT scores, increased scholarship amounts and college acceptances, and we were just notified that we are recipients of the South Carolina Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Whole Child Award for the Engaged Tenant. We are elated to receive this recognition for what is happening in the classrooms at Fairfield Central High School and we will be recognized in October at SCASCD’s Fall Conference. I know by continually improving our school-community relations, more positive gains are inevitable. Find any successful school, and you will also find parents and community members that are involved and supportive of the school. This community recognizes the value of educational and extra-curricular activities; therefore, our school expects our students to excel both inside and outside of the classroom. I hope that you are proud of our students as they reflect these expectations through their character and commitment.

IT’S GREAT TO BE A GRIFFIN AT FCHS!

Proud Principal
